Biography

Daughter of Zachariah Hardy and Hepzibah (Wallingford) Hardy.

A highly popular, but also highly derivative database on Ancestry.com called the Family Data Collection claims that the wife of Isaac Holeman was Mary Hardy, daughter of Zechariah Hardy and Hepzibah Wallingford of Massachusetts.

That couple did have a daughter Mary, born 12 Sep 1729 in Billerica, Mass.^[1] But Mary Hardy married in 1755 in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, one William Hunt. Supposedly they removed to New Hampshire, and two of their children include Zachariah Hunt (b 1761 in Tewksbury) and Hepzibah Hunt.

Mary Benton married Isaac Holeman in 1749 in Wilkes, Wilkesboro, North Carolina

She died in 1782 in Salisbury, Rowan, North Carolina
