Daughter of Zachariah Hardy and Hepzibah (Wallingford) Hardy.
A highly popular, but also highly derivative database on Ancestry.com called the Family Data Collection claims that the wife of Isaac Holeman was Mary Hardy, daughter of Zechariah Hardy and Hepzibah Wallingford of Massachusetts.
That couple did have a daughter Mary, born 12 Sep 1729 in Billerica, Mass.[1] But Mary Hardy married in 1755 in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, one William Hunt. Supposedly they removed to New Hampshire, and two of their children include Zachariah Hunt (b 1761 in Tewksbury) and Hepzibah Hunt.
Mary Benton married Isaac Holeman in 1749 in Wilkes, Wilkesboro, North Carolina
She died in 1782 in Salisbury, Rowan, North Carolina

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:
Picking the right Thomas was also my problem. There are several duplicates using both Holeman and Holman spellings. Someone really needs to work on sorting and merging.
I've replaced the mother of Holeman-63, Holeman-87, and Holeman-88 with Susannah Holman/Holeman (Holeman-109). I was not clear, however, as to which Thomas should be identified as their father.
I think most of work is done. Waiting on completion of merges Holman-147 & Holeman-50; Holeman-120 & Holeman-100. Need three children detached; they belong to Thomas & Susannah Holman/Holeman: Holeman-63, Holeman-87 and Holeman-88.
Making good progress. Still have duplicates for Elizabeth, Jacob, John, and Jeremiah. Three children need to be removed from family, they are children of Thomas and Susannah Holman/Holeman: Jacob Holeman-63, Thomas Holeman-87 and Elizabeth Holeman-88.
She has more children than her husband does, including many duplicates; please help merge duplicates. Also, use husband's will (see his profile) as guide for accurate list of children.
