Biography
9xGreat grandfather of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie of York. Gent. of Ashe Magna, Whitchurch. Churchwarden of Whitchurch in 1652-1653, one of the Assessors of Shropshire, 1649/1650 and High Constable of the Whitchurch Division of the hundred of Bradford, 1663.
He married (6/5/1637) Mary Knight, daughter of Thomas Knight of Shrewsbury.They had five children: Sarah (bap 17/11/1640 St Julians, Shrewsbury) married Samuel Hotchkiss, Daniel (bap 21/6/1646 St Julians, Shrewsbury) married Ellen Ridgway, Mary (b 1649 d 1701) married Joshua Maddocks, Martha (b 1650) and Elizabeth (b abt 1650)married John Hilton.
