Samuel Yate Benyon (eldest son of Samuel Benyon and of Lydia his wife). Born 21st August, 1762. A bencher of Lincoln's Inn, Attorney General of Chester and Vice Chanceller of the Duchy of Lancaster. Sworn a Burgess of Shrewsbury, 18th A ug, 1796. Was of Great Ash, and of Russell Square, London. Died 31st March, 1822; and was buried in the Unitarian Chapel, Dodington, Whitchurch.
