Edward John Berg was born 28 March 1897, probably in Chicago, Illinois, to parents Matthias Joseph Berg and Catharine Pesch Berg. He was married twice: first to Lila Vivian Cornwell Berg and second to Margaret C. Grezka Jones Berg. He and first wife Lila had five children. Edward died 2 Aug 1966 in Beloit, Wisconsin.
Edward is misidentified in the 1900 census.. It appears that 13 year old Ida Berg was really 3 year old Edw. Berg and someone misread their notes when completing the census details. His parents did not have a daughter named Ida, but did have a son named Edward Berg, born in 1897.
