In 1940, Lester, age 15, was living in his mother's household in Dayton, Cattaraugus, New York with his six younger siblings.[2]
Lester died at the age of 90 on February 11, 2015 and was buried in Rutledge Cemetery, Conewango, Cattaraugus, New York. According to his obituary reference on "Find A Grave", he was married to Ruth Ivett on September 3, 1943, who predeceased him, and was survived by four children. He was retired from the New York State Department of Transportation.[3]
