Biography
Fredrik Wilhelm Berg was born on October 12, 1819 in Motala parish, Östergötlands län, Sweden. He was the son of diktmästaren at Göta Canal Johan Berg and his wife Brita Stina Elfving.[1]
His father was a boat builder at Göta Kanal's wharf 1824-1829 when they moved to Vreta Kloster parish.[2]
He was a seaman/matros around 1840.
He lived together with unwed Anna Sofia Asker, and they had five children born out of wedlock.[3]
He passed away on November 6, 1878 in Motala where he worked as a carpenter in the Mechanical Factory.[4]
