Biography

On 9 Apr 1871, Wenzel Kerber was born in Austria to Joseph Kerber and Anna Berger. On 23 Dec 1919, Wenzel Kerber died in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Wenzel was buried at St. Boniface Cemetery. [1]

On 4 Jun 1900 at the time of the 1900 US Census, head of household Joseph Kerber (age 64, born in Austria in Mar 1836) was employed as a Laborer and living in a home he rented on 22nd Place in Chicago, Illinois with his wife Annie Kerber (age 65, born in Austria in Nov 1835), son Wenzl Kerber (age 29, born in Austria in Apr 1871), and daughter Annie E. Kerber (age 34, born in Austria in Jan 1866). Annie had given birth to six children, three of whom were still alive in Jun 1900. Wenzl was working as a Piano Maker, and Annie was employed as a Seamstress. Joseph and Annie had been married for 39 years circa 1861. Joseph and Annie immigrated to the USA from Austria in 1890. Both of Joseph's parents were born in Austria; both Annie's parents were born in Austria. [2]
