Text: Marie-Josèphe BERGERON, born around 1730 (according to S. A . White) daughter of Michel BERGERON dit de Nantes & 2nd wife Marie DUGAS.
Note ii at the end of the family: If the wife of Ambroise BRUN was the daughter of Barthélemy or of Augustin BERGERON , she would have been the cousin germaine [1st cousin] of her husband, which is not plausible. We have not been able to determine with certainty of which marriage of Michel this Marie was the offspring.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Marie Josephe by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
Mitochondrial DNA test-takers in the direct maternal line:
Bergeron-2740 and Bergeron-690 appear to represent the same person because: Sources in Bergeron-2740 show that these are duplicates: married to Ambroise Brun. Although PRDH does not list parents for her, research by Stephen White suggests Michel Bergeron and perhaps Marie Dugas.

Sources included for Baptism and Burial
PRDH does not give parents for Marie Josephte. Genealogist Stephen White believes she is the daughter of Michel Bergeron (abt.1700-bef.1764) and one of his 4 wives, possibly Marie Dugas. See this family tree : https://gw.geneanet.org/katheriot?lang=en&pz=frederick+joseph&nz=theriot&ocz=1&p=marie+josephe&n=bergeron I would suggest removing Marie Josephte from her present mother, and merging her with her duplicate here Marie Josephe Bergeron (abt.1730-1808) and then merging her descendants with their duplicates. Thank you!
