In 1838 the family lived in the customs house in Sabbatsberg.[3] In 1840-1842 Zelma Bergnéhr lived with three other theatre pupils and a matron in the Norrström quarter (the Opera house).[4][5] In 1843 she was a boarder in the household of actress and teacher Carolina Bock.[6]

Selma Carolina Esolinda Bergnéhr married the actor Lars Gustaf Kinmansson 29 June 1845.[7] They had two children and were divorced 16 May 1849.[8] After the divorce, she called herself Bergmansson for some time.[9]
