Elizabeth Berkeley was a daughter of Mr Robert Berkeley of Stoke Gifford and his wife Mary Roe. She was possibly born some time after 1610, when the parish records of Stoke Gifford are missing. [1]
She married Giles Driver (Diver) some time before 1630, when she had a daughter Jane, baptised at Rendcomb Gloucestershire on 20 December of that year. [2]
Their son Richard (1) was baptised in August 1632. [3] A second Richard (2) was baptised there on 8 February 1637, which suggests the first Richard had died. [4]
Giles Driver was named to receive a bequest in Richard Berkeley's 1661 Will, but Elizabeth's name was absent. [5]
