William Harding de Berkeley de Ardenne was born in 1226 in Berkeley, Gloucestershire, England. He was the son of Thomas (Berkeley) de Berkeley and Joan (Somery) Berkeley. He died on 8 Jan 1272 in Longcroft, Staffordshire.[citation needed]
Sir William Berkeley married Maud, daughter of Nigel de Kingescote. [1]
