Biography
Maurice Berkeley was born in 1598 in Askeaton, County Limerick, Ireland. He was the eldest son and heir of Sir Francis Berkeley and Jane Loftus.
In 1612, a settlement was drawn up for a marriage between Maurice and Mary Slingsby, daughter of Sir Francis Slingsby and Elizabeth Cuff.
Maurice Berkeley died on 18 September 1622 at the age of 24 without issue. His wife remarried.
