Biography

Joseph and Nathalie are the ancestors of the Acadian Bernard families in Prince Edward Island [1]


Joseph Bernard was born about 1731.[2] His parents were Joseph Bernard and Marie Josephe Gaudet.

He married Anne Anastasie Nathalie Arseneau in 1755 in Acadia. [3] They had one child.

In 1760 he lived in Ristigouche, Quebec. [3]

By 1763 they had moved to Havre-Saint-Pierre, Isle St. Jean, Acadia and were listed there also in 1765. [4] [1]
