DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Elizabeth by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Elizabeth:
Doug, most of the Bernard information that I posted came from the records of my late mother in law who was Betty Bernard cook. Her sources were people that lived in Colorado, Prince Edward Island who had written records of the events. If my name is associated with Samuel Bernard as manager, etc., I can look at her records and give you more specifics if you want.
More information would be great. I can make the case for James and Elizabeth being married with the grave marker but haven't had an acceptable record to tie Elizabeth to her parents.
Does anyone have a source for Elizabeth's birthdate? Not questioning the data, just looking for a primary record showing Elizabeth being daughter of Samuel Bernard and Elizabeth Vine in order to establish UEL status.
