— CONNEAUTVILLE — Dorothy B. Wheatall, 91, formerly of Dairy Street, Titusville, died Tuesday morning Feb. 3, 2009, at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, Meadville. She had been a resident there for the past several years. Mrs. Wheatall was born April 3, 1917, in Erie County, to the late John and Fern Peck Bemer. She married Norman Fenton Wheatall, June 24, 1948, in Erie. Mr. Wheatall preceded her in death July 27, 2000. She was a graduate of East High School, Erie. Mrs. Wheatall was a former secretary for the Rome Township supervisors and worked alongside her husband, Norman, on the family dairy farm. She was currently a member of First Presbyterian Church in Meadville and a former member of First United Methodist Church of Titusville. Mrs. Wheatall was always active in her church activities and organizations in Titusville and Meadville. She is survived by a daughter, Becky Hall and her husband, Thomas, of Meadville; a grandson, Geoffrey Hall of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wheatall was preceded in death by a brother, John Bemer; and a sister, Harriet Trevor. Friends may call at Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and attend the funeral service from the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m., with Dr. Barry E. Cressman, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Titusville, officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
