Biography

François Bernier was born about 1825 in Saint-Michel-d'Yamaska, Yamaska, Lower Canada. His parents were François Bernier and Marguerite Fourquin.

He married Esther Parent on 22 October 1850. The couple had a daughter, Catherine Bernier in 1867.

When Esther passed away, François married again. His second wife was Georgiana Lajoie on 9 May 1874 in Biddeford, York, Maine. More children were born: [[Bernier-1382|Eugenie Bernier (1876), Catherine Bernier (1867), Maxime Bernier (abt 1878), and Ovide Bernier (abt 1890).

François Bernier passed away on 22 September 1897 in Fall River, Massachusetts. The location of his grave is unknown.
