Biography

Doctor of medicine and Professor of mathematics, a professor at Groningen and Basel

Johann was the father of three more Bernoulli mathematicians.[1]

  • Nicolaus (1695-1726) did young shortly after moving to St. Petersburg.
  • Daniel (1700-1782), know for his work in hydrodynamics, and the St. Petersburg paradox in probability.
  • Johann (1710-1790), followed his father as professor of mathematics at Basel (1748-1790)
