Thomas Berrington was the father of Thomas Berrington (born 1582 in Hathern, Leicestershire). The origins of the elder Thomas are unknown and his birth date is an estimate.

He may be the Thomas Berrington of Cotes (4.5 miles from Hathern) who married Agnes Melborne on 23 September 1577 in Prestwold, Leicestershire (about 8 miles from Hathern).^[1]

Thomas' date and place of death are unknown.
