Biography
Elbridge Gerry Berry was born in 1821 in Buckfield, Maine, the son of Thomas Berry and Sally Morton. He married Diana Bunker on 19 Dec 1850 in Carthage, Maine where they raised six known children..
Elbridge served in the Union Army during the Civil War, enlisting as a Private in Co H, 10th Infantry, Maine VOLS on 25 Aug 1865 and being honorably discharged on 31 May 1865 near Washington, D.C. He also served in Companies A & K, 29th Infantry ME VOLS.
He passed away in 1909 in Carthage, Maine where he is buried at the Berry Mills Cemetery.
