Richard was baptised at St Peter and st Paul, Hanborough on 9th January 1820.[1] He was the son of John Berry and Ann (Edwards) Berry. His father gave his occupation as labourer at the baptism.
Marriage
Richard Berry and Ann Tallot were married at St Peter and St Paul, Hanborough on 24th December 1844.[2] They were bachelor and spinster and both of the parish. Richard was of full age, working as a labourer and the son of John, who was also a labourer. Ann was a minor, a spinster and working as a gloveress. No father's details were provided. Neither Richard nor Ann could write so they both made their mark on the register with a cross. The witnesses to the marriage were John Lancebury and Caroline Berry. [3]
