Biography

Arthur Edward Berry was born on 30 August 1884, the third son of George Berry and Julia Watson. He married Bertha Wise in 1908. He passed away in 1929.^[1]

With his wife Bertha, he took over as landlord of the Dew Drop Inn in Stratford in 1925.^[2] His wife continued to run the pub after his death until her own death in 1949.^[2][3] His estate; worth £2,412 19s 5d, was split between his wife and his brother William, who would later be a publican himself.^[1]
