Biography

Mariah Agnes Berry, daughter of Joel and Elizabeth Cummings Berry, was born January 12 1846 in Virginia and died March 17 1917 in Nicholas County, West Virginia. [1] She married Thomas Franklin Hicks, son of David and Mary Suddath Hicks, born about 1840 in Virginia. [2]

Research Notes

Three of the children in the West Virginia Vital Records Marriage are typed and surname was interpreted as Hix and not Hicks. In addition, Mary Elizabeth used her first marriage name of Huff when when married Boso. In the 1990 census one of her children Howard Huff born July 1882 was living with his grandparents. This is true of a Autus Williams, grandson born Feb 1881 whose mother Margaret first married a Williams.
