Alvin Berson was born in 1901 in New York City. He was the son of Chaim ('Hyman') Berson and his wife Esther Bella Wacht. ^[1][2][3] Alvin graduated from New York University in 1922.

In 1926, he married Hilda Bayles.^[4]

He passed away in 1976 and was buried in Mount Ararat Cemetery in East Farmingdale, New York.^[5]

Alvin appears to have been named as "Abraham" and changed his name later to Alvin. Birth dates differ slightly on some records.
