Leonora (Bertenshaw) Greenhalgh was born in Lancashire, England.

Leonora Bertenshaw was born in 1870. She was the daughter of Peter Bertenshaw and Mary Knowles. ^[1] Leonora was baptised on 25th December 1870 in Denton, Lancashire. ^[2]

In 1871, Leonora was residing with her parents and brother in Denton, Lancashire. ^[3]

In 1895, Leonora married John Greenhalgh. The marriage was registered in Ashton Under Lyne. ^[4]

In 1901, Leonora and her husband were residing in Audenshaw, Lancashire. They had two children. Leonora's aunt and cousin were staying with the family. ^[5]

In 1911, Leonora was about 40-years-old and residing with her husband and three children in Audenshaw. There were two nephews in the home. ^[6]
