Theogene Peter Bertrand is a descendant of an Acadian

Theogene Bertrand was born in Louisiana on the Prairie Ronde in St. Landry Parish, located a few miles west of the town of Opelousas, in 1858 to Auguste Bertrand and Ernestine Sittig.[1][2]

He married Marie Andrepont in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana in 1877.[3][4]

Theogene died at age 66 in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana in 1923.[5] and was buried at St. Landry Catholic Church Cemetery, in Opelousas, Louisiana.[6]
