He married Felicia Pitre, possibly around 1865. Estimated date based on two years before earliest known child's birth. (The 1900 census suggests they were marred about 1861). The records at "Our Lady Help of Christians" church in Jennings, Jefferson Davis Parish, show their marriage on 3 July 1896.[1] Perhaps this was a blessing of an earlier marriage for this couple.

In attempting to list the children of Leandre and Marie Louise Langley, there is some discrepancy in dates of birth unless Sostan and Soloman were twins as it has them both listed as being born in 1941. Would someone please clarify? Also, someone please explain why some of the children's names are in green and some in black? Does it mean the ones printed in black are 1/2 brothers/sisters? if so, who was the mother? My family log information has 10 children listed for parents Leon (Leandre) Bertrand and Marie (Mary) Louise Langley. Some of which are NOT listed here on Wikitree.....HELP!
