Another one of Amable Sr.'s sons was Louis Bertrand (1801-1876), who married Cidalise Eugenie LeDoux in Opelousas on Jan. 17, 1826. Louis and Cidalise were the parents of Auguste Ducloisel Bertrand (1837-1885), and the grandparents of Theogene Bertrand.
