Alice's LNAB was transcribed as "Bestbeech" in her baptism record, but Anderson uses the spelling, "Besbeech," in his feature on her father in his Great Migration series.
The spelling, "Bisbee," is much more often seen in records for the Elisha Bisbee family. He is sometimes reported as a brother of Alice, but per Robert C. Anderson, "the will of Thomas Besbeech and chronology make this impossible."[1] In fact, there is no known relationship between the two families. Lincolns' History of Hingham indicates that Alice is the sister of Elisha, which is incorrect.[2]
Birth
Alice (Besbeech) Bourne immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).
Alice was born in 1620. She is the daughter of Thomas and Anne Bessech,[2] was baptized on 29 June 1624 at Frittenden, County Kent, England.[1][3][4][5]
Emigration to and Early Residency in New England
Alice emigrated from England to New England with her family aboard the "Hercules" in 1635, when she was about 11.[1] Alice's family first resided in Cambridge, moved to Scituate about 1637, and then moved to Duxbury about 1639. Her family appears to have still be residing at Duxbury at the time of her marriage in 1645.[1]

This person immigrated to New England between 1621-1640 as a Minor Child (under age 21 at time of immigration) of a Puritan Great Migration immigrant who is profiled in Robert Charles Anderson's Great Migration Directory (or is otherwise accepted by the Puritan Great Migration (PGM) Project).
Please feel free to improve the profile(s) by providing additional information and reliable sources. PGM encourages the Profile Managers to monitor these profiles for changes; if any problems arise, please contact the PGM Project via G2G for assistance. Please note that PGM continues to manage the parent's profile, but is happy to assist on the children when needed.
Would a PGM person please connect Bourne-3150 Ann (Bourne) Tranter (1651-abt.1698) as a daughter of Alice? She is already linked as a daughter of John. Thanks, Gregg
Could one of the Puritan Great Migration Project members please add Bourne-2448 (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Bourne-2448) as a daughter of Alice (Besbeech) Bourne. Thank you. Robert Green.
Besbeech-6 and Bisbee-77 appear to represent the same person because: Name difference is a spelling variation (there were many variations of this name!) and the marriage makes clear they are referring to the same person.
Anderson uses the spelling, Besbeech. Alice is also PGM, so this spelling is a good choice.
Her baptism record was transcribed as Bestbeech. NEHGR 67:34
The spelling, Bisbee, is not the best, as this version was rarely used for the Thomas Besbeech family. It was used for the Elisha Bisbee family (no known relation, despite confusion caused by older publications).
Working on the profile for her father now, hoping to clarify some of these issues. Thanks!
I have been doing research on the family of Immigrant Thomas Besbeech at NEHGS, and have added sources to Thomas Besbeech. The family has many different spellings: for the sake of conformity to the spelling used most frequently by source documents, please merged iinto Besbeech-4, leaving Besbeech-4 as the final ID#. Thank you very much! April Dauenhauer
