Biography
When Andrew Blunt Besse was born on August 11, 1799, in Winthrop, Maine,[1] his father,Samuel Besse, was 27 and his mother, Rebecca Blunt, was 25. He married Jerusha Philbrook on October 1, 1821, in Granville, Ohio. [2] They had ten children in 20 years. In the 1840 census there were two adults and nine minors. He died on March 24, 1845, in Etna, Ohio, at the age of 45, and was buried in Licking, Ohio. "24 Mar 1845 • Etna, Licking, Ohio, USA Inscription: Aged 45y 7m 3d "
