Oilivier was born in 1831. He died in 1917.

Research Notes

The 6th Generation was initiated with the marriage of Olivier Bessette and Adeleide (Gevry) on September 16, 1851 at St. Hilaire, Quebec. Olivier was a youthful 20 years of age and Adeleide was two years older than Olivier who was born April 5, 1831. Adeleide's parents were Pierre Gevery and Clementine (Authier). Olivier and Adeleide had 9 children of which 3 were born in Agawam, Mass. Some time around the start of the American Civil War Olivier moved his family to Massachusetts, in the Springfield, West Springfield, Agawam area where Delia, Delina and Antoine were born. He moved the family back to Canada when Antoine was a child and it was there that all of his children were married, several them in the township of Saint Valerien (about 25 miles east of Montreal). It was also reported that Olivier died in Holyoke, Mass which was found to be incorrect. Both Olivier and Adeleide spent their remaining days in Saint Valerien and were buried there.
