Delilah Beatrice Bessey was born in 1908 in Ha Ha Bay, Newfoundland to father Peter Bessey (1868-1955) and mother Rebecca Hedderson (1875-1956). The Bessey family immigrated to Newfoundland from France 1 generation previous. She married Allen Frederick Taylor (1907-1997) and they had 7 children. Delilah Taylor passed away in 1975 at the age of 66 years in Raleigh, Newfoundland.
