Biography
Hannah was born in 1840 in Clarendon, Canada East.[1] She was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Best.[1] She married Henry Liddle.[2][3] She passed away in 1892.[3]
Research Notes
William (45) and Elizabeth (47) Best were enumerated in the 1851 Census. They were farming in the Township of Clarendon, Canada East. The children were: Ellen (14), Hanna (12), Elizabeth Anna (8), Teressa Jane (6) and Eliza Jane (5). They were Protestant.[1]
Francis Murray (25) of Almonte married Elizabeth Liddle (24) of Almonte on 29 Dec 1886 at Almonte, Ontario, Canada. Francis, son of Francis and Margaret Murray, was a moulder and bachelor, born in Clarendon, Quebec. Elizabeth, daughter of Henry and Hannah Liddle, was a spinster born in Ottawa City. Witnesses were William Liddle of Almonte and Sarah Jane Woods of Smith Falls. Both bride and groom were Methodist.[2]
Hannah Best Liddle was born in 1840 in Clarendon, Outaouais Region, Quebec, Canada. She died 15 Dec 1892 (aged 51–52) in Shawville, Outaouais Region, Quebec, Canada. She married Henry Liddle.[3]
