  4. Giblot_Ducray-4 provided this information on Jun 17, 2018: "The date of death for Andries (Andreas) Bester (snr) should probably be changed from 3 March 1767 as this is the date of death for his son, also named Andries Bester. The joint will of Andries Bester (snr) and Anna Bo(c)k dated 26 April 1735 can be viewed at https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C9BY-X9VT-2 and comprises images 1308 to 1310 (inclusive). A note at the end of the will states "Verthoont te weeskamer Cabo de Goede Hoop te 8 Xbr 1752 (i.e. 8 December 1752)". This indicates that the death of either Andries Bester (snr) or Anna Bock would have been shortly before 8 December 1752. I haven't yet been able to find entries in death registers for Andries Bester (snr) or Anna Bock, but did find an inventory subsequent to the death of Anna Bock (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C9BB-M68L) dated 26 April 1794. The death during 1752 must therefore be in respect of Andries Bester (snr). I suggest that the date of death for Andries Bester (snr) be changed to 30 October 1752 so that it is consistent with the First 50 Years Project website (http://www.e-family.co.za/ffy/g3/p3180.htm). I thought I'd share further documents with you that I found while working through unindexed images on FamilySearch. The date of death for Andries Bester (jnr) is shown as "about 3 Feb 1767" in his WikiTree record. The image of his death entry in the death register can be viewed at https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSVH-99JK-8. The "about" should probably be removed to reflect the exact date of 3 February 1767. The joint will of Andries Bester (jnr) and Anna Debits (sic) dated 4 January 1760 can be viewed at https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C9BY-VSS3-J and comprises images 681 to 685 (inclusive). A note at the end of the will states "Vertoont ter weeskamer aan Cabo de Goede Hoop 7 Maart 1767" thus confirming that the 3 February 1767 date of death is correctly attributed to Andries Bester (jnr). The wife of Andries Bester (jnr), viz. Adriana Debets, died during 1788 at Swartland as per the image at https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSVH-99JM-8 (no day indicated apart from the letter "D"). The inventory of her estate (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C9BB-MCGS) is undated but falls between other inventories that were completed between 1788 and 1789. Kind regards"
