Graaff-Reinet Baptism Record, which gives her Date of Birth clearly as "1 October 1796". The Date of Baptism appears to be 24(?) October 1797: on the previous page it is written, "Door de Eerwaarde Heer word Gedoopt ... Jaar 1797" and just underneath "op den 24(?) October" the baptism of Johanna ... Venter, born "5 Dec 1796". The very next child to be baptised after Margaretha Bezuidenhout was Adriaan ... van Jaarsveld, who was baptised on "27 October". SAF Vol 3 gives the Date of Baptism as 24 April 1797 (??).
