Rebecca Beswarick was born on 5th August 1844 at Bodmin, Cornwall, England. She was a daughter of Thomas Beswarick and Elizabeth Udy.
She married Charles Ley on 2nd April 1867 at Plymouth, Devon.[1]
Following Charles' death in 1872, Rebecca married again, to George Knott on 25th January 1874 at Plymouth.[2]
Rebecca and George migrated to the British Colony of Queensland in 1875. Once settled at Warwick, on the southern Darling Downs, they had seven children.
Rebecca passed away, aged 81 years, on 4th December 1925 at Brisbane, Queensland and is buried in the Brisbane General Cemetery, Toowong, Queensland.[3] She was survived by three sons and a daughter.
