b Chadkirk. Son of John Beswick (1823). Chr. 9.5.1850 at St. Chad, Chadkirk, Cheshire; father John, mother Sarah. Not listed on 1951 census with family - was at house of Grandfather, Thomas (says Collet). In 1861 was at High St., Glossop, with family, age 12 and a labourer in print works. In 1871 was at 3 Dinting Vale, Glossop (round corner from Simmondley Lane) was next door to no. 5 (his father) and a boarder with his(Caleb's) sister Elizabeth who was married to Alfred Oliver (a furniture dealer, born in Manchester) He was a labourer[age 22], single. No record of marriage. Died in Hayfield, Derbyshire in 1877, age 28.
Grandmother, Mariah died in Hayfield in 1880, buried at Glossop cemetery on 14.4.1880 - anglican grave no. 1483. Same grave as aunt Mary[1825-1890] and uncle James[1837-1876] and Caleb[1849-1877 - John's son].
