Biography

Isabella Catherine Mary Bethune was born in 1853. She was the daughter of Charles Goodwin Bethune and his wife Ann Isabella Mary Eversfield.^[1] In 1881 she and her younger sister Beatrice were staying with the Ainsworths at Winwick near Daventry.^[2] On the death of her only nephew Charles in 1914, as the elder surviving member of the family she inherited the Denne estate and added the last name of Eversfield. Unmarried, she passed away in 1928.^[3]
