Mary Clara Betteridge was born about 1834 ^[1] in Prestbury, Gloucestershire, England & baptised there 16th March 1834,^[1] the daughter of William Betteridge & Hannah Timbrill Cotton.

Clara Mary Betteridge, of full age, Spinster, of St. Paul's St North, (daughter of William Betteridge, Labourer) married Robert Mayall, of full age, Bachelor, Servant, of St. Paul's St North, (son of Joseph Mayall, Labourer) on 4th March 1852 in the Parish Church of Cheltenham St. Paul, Gloucestershire, England according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church after Banns by P. de H. Sylvester, Curate. Robert & Clara both signed. Witnesses were George Betteridge & Hester Jane Clyard.^[2][3][4]

Clara Mary Mayall died aged 74, in Prestbury, Gloucestershire, England on 15th June 1905,^[5][6] & was laid to rest there 20th June 1905.^[7]
