Albert Henry Betts was born on the 4th of March 1870 in East Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, the son of Mary Ivey (Warren) Betts and William Henry Betts.^[1]

He married Mary Teresa Broderick on the 16th of May 1891 in Fitzroy, Victoria. ^[2]
