Here's the same family unit in 1860; note that Catherine as a single daughter is not enumerated with them, BUT notice the Catherine Lewis, of right age/birthplace to be their daughter, married to a William Lewis, enumerated in same household. If it's the same Catherine, she married first to William Lewis before William Heuser. OR (if we found Catherine and Lewis together later) we could eliminate Catherine, daughter of John and Sophia, as candidate for the wife of William Heuser. Mmm... another thought. "Lewis" is the anglicized name of "Ludwig" which is the middle name of William Heuser. Enumerator error?
