Biography

John Watson Bivens or Bevan was born about 1847 in Wallsend, Northumberland. He was the son of John Bivens and Dinah Watson.

In 1861, he lived with his family in Monkwearmouth.[1][2]

In 1876 in Sunderland, he married Mary Anne Crute.

John and Mary Ann had children.

He died in 1935 in Sunderland, Durham.

Research Notes

John and his family used the surname of Bevan rather than Bivens.

Bevan-354 and Bivens-864 appear to represent the same person because: he appears to be born with the surname Bivens (Ancestry 1861 Census) but later used the surname Bevan.
