Biography

Janet Walker was born March 27, 1850, the daughter of William and Jane Beveridge of Cockpen, Midlothian, Scotland[1]. She was christened on March 24, 1850

On 07 Jul 1874, in Pembroke, Ontario, she married James Walker the son of James and Margaret Walker of Scotland[2], and they had children[3], including:

  1. James Wilson, born April 26, 1875[4]
  2. Jessica, born July 29, 1876[5]
  3. Robert Menzies, born January 24, 1879[6]
  4. William, born May 2, 1881[7]

James died January 1, 1883 in Renfrew[8]. While Janet may have remarried, it appears more likely that she also died before the 1891 Census, as three of her children are shown as domestics in neighbouring homes: Robert[9], Jessie[10], and William [11]
