Biography

John was born to Trustum Beverly and Elizabeth Loe. ^{[1] [2]} He married Elizabeth VanMeter in 1853. ^[3] They had six children, ^{[1] [4]} but Elizabeth died in 1866. ^[1] John died in 1888. ^[5]

Research Notes

Sources usually give the date of birth as April 1825/1826, which is unlikely because his parents married in April 1826. It is possible that he was born in October of 1826
