John Bewley is an Anzac who served in World War Two.

Biography

John was born in 1918. He was the son of Walter Bewley and Kate Devore.

John served in the 2nd World War as a Flight Lieutenant. He underwent training in Advanced Air Training in Canada.

He got engaged to Audrey Henderson (daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J . Henderson, Leamington Spa, England) in 1945.^[1]

John married Eileen Joyce Minnie Ackworth in Ware, Hertfordshire in 1948. They had 2 children.

In 1969 he travelled from Southampton in England to Wellington, New Zealand on the ship Northern Star. He was 50 years of age and a Manager with the New Zealand Diary Association. Also travelling with him was his 43 year old wife Eileen Joyce and 7 year old daughter Kerry.^[2]

He passed away in 2009 at the age of 90.
