Lee roy Bewley was born in Whiteboro, Grayson County, Texas[1][2] on the 18th of March, 1890[2][1][3] to James Bewley and Georgia Morris.
In 1900 he was living in Jefferson, Polk County, Missouri. In the home were his parents James(38) and Georgia(37), along with the children Bessie(16), Lizzie(15), Jesse(13), Lee(10), John(6), Katy(4) and Nannie(5 months)[4]
In 1910 he would be living in Jefferson, Polk County, Missouri with his parents James(48) and mother Georgia(46). The children listed in the home were Roy(20), John F(17), Katie(14), nannie(10, and Ora(6)[5]

He would marry Sarah Azilee Ahart[1] on the 12th of September, 1913 in Polk County, Missouri[6] and they would have:
In june of 1917 he confirmed he was a medium height and build with light blue eyes, and dark brown hair. At the time he was a farm laborer, employed by G.L. kelley near Rondo, Missouri[2]
In 1920 he(28) was living in Cliquot, Polk County, Missouri with his wife Azilee(26) and daughter Alberta(5)[7]
In 1930 he(40) was living in jefferson, Polk County, Missouri with Azilee(36) and their children Alberta M(16) and Iva(10)[8]
In 1940 he(50) and Azilee(47) would be living in Jefferson, Polk County, Missouri with their daughter Iva Lee[9]
In April of 1942 he confirmed he was 5' 9 and 160 pounds with blue eyes, gray hair and a ruddy complexion. at the time he was a self employed farmer on Route 1 in Bolivar, Polk County, Missouri[1]

His final home is believed to be in Bolivar, Polk County, Missouri[3]
He died on the 15th of May, 1971[3] in Polk County, Missouri and would be buried in the Rondo Cemetery in Polk County, Missouri[10]

BOLIVAR Funeral services for Roy Bewley, 81, of Route 3, Bolivar, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Rondo Baptist Church north of Bolivar with the Rev. Bobby R. Derryberry officiating. Burial will be in Rondo Cemetery, under direction of Pitts.
Mr. Bewley died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in Cox Medical Center in Springfield following a short illness.
