Biography

Birth

Nora Henrietta Bews was the daughter of Captain John Bews.

Baptism

She was baptized at Castlebar in Co.Mayo on 15 Apr 1838.

Marriage

She married Field Marshal Frederick Sleigh Roberts, 1st Earl Roberts, V.C., son of General Sir Abraham Roberts and Isabella Bunbury, on 17 May 1859. [1] As a result of her marriage, Nora Henrietta Bews was styled as Baroness Roberts on 20 February 1892. As a result of her marriage, Nora Henrietta Bews was styled as Countess Roberts on 11 February 1901.

Honours

She was decorated with the award of the Imperial Order of the Crown of India (C.I.)

Death

She died on 21 December 1920 at Ascot, Berkshire, England.
