(Johann) Jacob Beyer was born about 1716 in Ebstein, Palatinate, Germany and his parents were Anna (Apollonia) and Johann Andreas Beyer.
He emigrated with his father and brothers from Germany to America.
An early edition of American Boyers reported that about 1758 Jacob was shot and scalped by Indians, who came upon him while he was plowing. The attack was witnessed by his children, Frederick, Dorothea and Catharine who were taken captives. The mother was never seen again, and was probably also massacred. [1]
The 7th edition corrected this mistake. This was not the man attacked and killed by the Indians. That was Heinrich Boyer (abt.1720-1757).

Unfortunately, the links do not work for this profile. Could you please update them? If you prefer to use Ancestry, this link might help: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Links_to_Ancestry. I'd like to recommend FamilySearch.org; their links rarely break.
Also, there is a notation that John died in 1717 and his daughter Margaret was born in 1732. Was Margaret definitely his daughter?
Finally, several of the children seem to be duplicates. Would you consider looking into the mother's profile and maybe merging some of the children's profiles?
Respectfully,
