Hi, Joann, and thank you so much for all the work you are doing. I was so happy to see some improvements to my great-grandmother (Louisa Andreoli Battistini). It is much appreciated. Her father and uncle appear among your many pieces of research. Much appreciated!

Hi and thank you for being a member of the Jewish Roots Project! I wanted to let you know about some new things we have going on.

- You can see new tabs at the top of our home page, where you can select topics to view or work on. You can also use our new maintenance categories - feel free to add them to your own family, or any other Jewish Roots profile, or work on the maintenance yourself, such as adding new records to profiles with only a couple sources.-I'm sending an invitation to join GoogleGroups, which we are re-starting this week. We'll probably do most group chat there, but the most important things will be posted on G2G, which you will be notified about if you follow the jewish_roots tag.

-You can also join Wikitree's discord server, where we have a Jewish Roots chat channel.

-If you have ideas or suggestions for the project, feel free to reply here or send me a message.

Thank you! -Elaine, co-leader for Jewish Roots Project

Just a Thank-you for looking at Culp-1338. In 1917 they took a wayward path from where they had been living. Osceola, Saint Clair County, Missouri, United States. James Roland Culp "Roley" and Johanna M. Derksen met in Ida Grove County Iowa. Johanna gave (or had taken from her) 3 children away before this point in time. As her marriage to Roley- a traveling harvest worker in the time period (whose obit was found in my grandmothers adoption papers after death) occurred before {what Gmas birth cert says after the birth in 1916} Roley appears to be the father. Netties prior 2 sons she gave up for adoption are identified as children of a Fred Long of Ida Grove. All of this is recounted in a manuscript of the first son given away, of his discovery and confirmation of parentage by Nettie.

Hi! Just checked our DNA... no matching segments.

Furthest back I'm really confident of is that Robert Hill is the father of Agnes. That Robert was son of Sion & Elizabeth could use more/better sources.

Hello JoAnn,

It has come to my attention recently that you contacted a maternal family member of mine. What information were you looking for. Was it about the Rabbach family, or the Cohen family by any chance or someone else? Maybe we can help each other with ancestral information. respectfully, Duane

JoAnn, do you happen to speak any other languages? Would you check out our languages template and add it to your biography? For example you might add

{{ Languages | en | ro-2 | he-1 }}

to the top of your biography if you speak English natively, intermediate Rumanian and basic Hebrew, or you could use de-4 to specify near-native German or ru-2 for intermediate Russian, and so forth up to ten languages.

It really helps to know who speaks all the different languages used on WikiTree! If there is a language you speak that is missing from our categories, I would be happy to add it. If you only speak English, you're very welcome to use this text to make that clear:

{{ Languages | en }}

Thanks,

Karen
