Biography

Salvatore was born on May 17, 1885 in Italy.

He immigrated to New York in 1906.[1] There are no other Bianco's on the page listing his arrival, and his arrival contact was recorded as Nicola Macaluso, a cousin.

In 1910, he was married to Guiseppa "Josephine" Comarata. They had four children.

In 1918, he filled out a World War I Draft Registration Card.[2] This was the same year his wife, Josephine, passed away. Records indicate he never remarried.

In 1930, he was residing in Kingston, Ulster County, New York with two of his children, Anthony and Rose. His occupation was recorded as a weaver in a silk mill. The record lists his citizenship as naturalized.[3] His daughter, Barbara, was attending a boarding school in the same county that year.

In 1940, he was recorded as a laborer in the coal industry. He shared his home with children Anthony and Barbara, along with his brother-in-law, John Clain, and an infant (possibly the child of John Clain).[4]

In 1942, he filled out a World War II Draft Registration Card, listing his place of occupation as Leon Wilbur Coal Yard. His son, Anthony aka Tony, was listed as his contact.[5]

He passed away in 1962.[6] He was buried at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Ulster County.[7]
