Biography

Roland Bias was born in 1823 Cabell County, Virginia, United States. He was the son of Roland Solomon Bias and Dicey Brumfield Bias. About 1842 in Kanawha County, Virginia, he married Martha A. Pauley. In 1861, Roland enlisted and served with the Union Army, First Regiment of the West Virginia Cavalry, Company G.
